British Isles.  It seems likely that they are all linked, but just how remains to be revealed.

Bernard & Ellen McCUSKER : 1837 - 
from Fermanagh, Ireland   

This part of the tree records the descendants of Bernard McCusker and his wife Ellen, who 
arrived into Port Jackson, Sydney in 1837; they seemed to have quickly adopted the spelling 
'McCosker'. The family has spread far and wide, though mainly north through the New England and 
into the Darling Downs; many recent generations settling around Sydney, Newcastle, the Hunter 
Valley and Brisbane.

They were married in London in 1863 and later that year Nicholas emigrated to Brisbane aboard 'Beejepore'; Ann and their newly born son, William, followed in 1864 aboard 'Queen of the South'. This branch has been added in late 2016 and was a focus of John McCosker's later research. ***************************************************************************** John & Mary McCOSKER : 1841 - also from Lanark, Scotland This part of the tree records the descendants of John McCosker (son of Edmund and Rosanna) and his wife Mary Highlands (daughter of William and Janet), who arrived into Port Jackson, Sydney on 6 November 1841 aboard 'Trinidad' - along with their three sons, Edmund (6), William (4) and John (2). Both were from Scotland; John was born in Lanark, Mary born in Renfrewshire. The tree presented here is sketchy, with some links that need further cross-checking. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
